Greetings!

Thank you for taking time to learn more about Community Women Against Hardship and the work we have done in the St. Louis Community for over 35 years! CWAH has diligently assisted nearly 10,000 family members since 1988. On the hopes and dreams of Co-Founders, the late Gloria Taylor and the late Betty Lee, CWAH strives to address and provide solutions to those in our community who continue to struggle with poverty.

We appreciate your commitmet and support, especially during a time when we continue to face challenges in our politcal landscapes, economy, and our health post-COVID. The "New Normal" we face has caused us to pivot and think differently about the way we stand with our communities. Where many companies and organizations did not survive our societal transition, CWAH remains steadfast in its continuance in the fight against poverty.

As a two-person staffed organization, meeting the needs of our families can be a challenge. CWAH is strengthened not only by our supporters, but our amazing volunteer leaders! Our Board of Directors, the CWAH Ambassadors, organizational and church communities, community members, students from St. Louis University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis are a part of our cadre of volunteers that regularly, tirelessly, and enthusiastically show up to lend a helping hand to staff and families alike.

Personally, I have served this organization as a community education partner, volunteer, and Board member in the past 20 years. As the new Executive Director/CEO, along with Lisa Summers our new Family Coordinator and Administrative Assistant, we are committed to the mission to provide personalized services and programs that assist families in becoming self-sufficent. It is our goal to strengthen our programs and services by: increasing volunteer engagement, establishing meaningful partnerships with educational institutions, workforce development, and other organizations. It is also our desire to increase capacity by expanding our contributor, donor, and grantor base.

Ms. Taylor and Ms. Lee laid an incredible foundation for us to continue building, continue advocating, and continue serving the our community members in City of St. Louis. In the spirit of gratitude, thank you for being a vehicle of hope for so many!

Best regards,
