About Us

Community Women Against Hardship (CWAH) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing personalized programs and services to enable low- to moderate-income families struggling with poverty to become more self-sufficient.

We strive to become a respected and replicable national model for helping families become self-sufficient and move out of poverty.

CWAH provides basic needs and services such as donated clothing, furniture, bedding, food, and household items to families in need, based on eligibility. We offer various educational and developmental programs and workshops to parents, children (5th to 12th grade), and families living in the city of St. Louis. All classes are free.
